Accessibility statement

Everyone should be able to find information about therapy and access care.

Last updated: September 2026

My commitment

Through Line Therapy is committed to making this website and my services accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and to meet the spirit of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What this site does to support accessibility

  • Semantic HTML and a logical heading structure, so pages work well with screen readers
  • A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
  • Full keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators on links, buttons and form fields
  • Text and background colours chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios
  • Descriptive text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology
  • Labelled form fields with clear error messages
  • Animations are subtle, and are reduced when your device is set to reduce motion
  • Layouts that adapt to different screen sizes and to text zoom up to 200%

Requesting accommodations

If something about the booking process or therapy sessions creates a barrier for you, please let me know. I'm glad to discuss accommodations, such as:

  • Booking by email instead of the online booking system
  • Receiving forms in an alternative format, or completing them together
  • Using live captions, text chat, or phone sessions where appropriate
  • Adjusting session timing, pacing or breaks

Technical requirements

This website is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge) on desktop and mobile, and with common assistive technologies such as screen readers and screen magnifiers. Some features, including the booking widget and contact form, rely on JavaScript.

The online booking system is provided by a third party (Jane App). While I've chosen tools that take accessibility seriously, I can't fully control third-party content. If you have trouble using it, email me and I'll book your appointment directly.

Feedback

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on this site, please email daniel@throughlinetherapy.ca with a description of the problem and the page it occurred on. I aim to respond within five business days.
